We are a decentralized entity of the Department Order, classified as a public establishment created by Ordinance 19 of 1973, a legal entity with an autonomical administration and independent assets.

Since 1973, the Financial Institute for the Development of Santander - IDESAN - is committed with the Department's regional development through funding of project credit resources for infrastructure development, environment, drinking water and basic sanitation, health , education, housing, innovation and technological development.

Aware of our social mission, we have directed funds to projects of general interest, developing lending programs to build and strengthen small and medium enterprises. Credit programs that facilitate access to education for young people who dream of entering the universities or educational institutions to advance higher education.
